MBA students - try Business Source Premier

Are you a MBA student? If you are and you haven't tried out this Library database already, try searching Business Source Premier. It's available from the Management Key Collections (where you will find many other excellent sources for management and business).

What's so good about Business Source Premier? Well, here are a couple of things:

1. It provides the full text for more than 8,800 serials, including more than 1,100 peer-reviewed business publications, including the world's top management and marketing journals such as Harvard Business Review, from 1922.
2. It also contains full text, non-journal content includes market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analyses.

So whatever subject you are looking for it's very likely that you will find some relevant information using Business Source Premier.

You need to be logged into Athens using your Managed Windows Service (MWS) username and password before you can get access. Once you've done that select the 'Connect' link for the database.

IEL - IEEE/IET Electronic Library downtime: Wednesday 30 May

The Library have been informed by IEEE that the IEL - IEEE/IET Electronic Library (available from the Computing Collections page) will be unavailable from 2:00pm-3:00pm EDT on Wednesday 30 May due to scheduled maintenance. IEEE apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

You can use the World Clock time zone converter to check what that time is where you live.

No Librarian Service or Computing Helpdesk: Monday 28th May

Monday 28th May is a Bank Holiday in the UK so although all Online Library resources should be available as normal, the Library enquiry service and the University Computing Services Helpdesk will not be available. Normal service will resume the following day.

TRIAL: WARC - World Advertising Research Center

The Library have a trial of WARC.com until 8th June 2007.

WARC.com is a source of intelligence for the marketing, advertising, media and research communities, drawn from more than 40 international sources, including WARC’s own publications such as Admap as well those of its partners, which include The Advertising Research Foundation, ESOMAR, the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and many more.

WARC.com contains over 45,000 articles, case studies, research papers, news reports and summaries, augmented with best practice papers, practical guides and statistical data.

To access this trial go to WARC and login with the trial username and password (before you can access this you will be asked to add your Managed Windows Service username and password)
