Searching for e-books by title or keyword

Did you know that you can now search for e-books from the Online Library by title or keyword? There are over 31,000 titles now available so hopefully you will find something that you are interested in.

The link to search for e-books is called Find an e-book title and you will find it located near the top right of the Management collections page, the Computing collections page and the Public health collections page. Before you search don't forget to login to Athens and EZproxy with your Managed Windows Service (MWS) username and password. If you access a title through the database ebrary you will need to download the ebrary reader before trying to read the book.

Why not try out a search? If you have any questions ask the Online Librarian, Stephanie Allen.

Library Now Includes Key Note Market Reports

Key Note Market Reports are now available from the Online Library. They provide access to over 1000 full text market reports and assessment spanning 30 industry sectors including consumer, financial, industrial, business-to-business and lifestyle titles. On average, 14 new or updated titles are added each month. You can search via an A-Z list, by market sector or by using the quick/advanced search options. Reports typically include the following sections: executive summary, market definition, market size, industry background, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, buying behaviour, current issues, global market, forecasts, consumer confidence, and further sources.

The reports are not available through the normal Athens/EZproxy login route. Instead, access is through either the Windows Terminal Service (WTS), the Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Dial-Up services. Details of these services are

CEPR and NBER Working Papers Now Available

The Library are pleased to announce that the we now have the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) Publications and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Working Papers available from the Management Collections page. Before connecting to the database, login to EZproxy with your Managed Windows Service (MWS) username and password using the blue Library login box to the left of the page - this will authenticate you as a University of Liverpool user and allow you access.

The CEPR publications include discussion papers which contain the CEPR research results and are read by specialists in the research and policy community. The archive extends back to 1999 and around 500 new papers are published each year. Also included are policy papers which are a forum for the analysis of important policy issues. The papers aim to identify key policy issues, apply the best and most up to date research to help understand these issues and explore the implications of this research for the design and conduct of policy. Available back to 1999, around 4-6 new policy papers are published each year.

The NBER Working Papers provide full text access to the NBER working papers, including technical working papers and an archive back to 1973. The NBER is a private, non-profit, non-partisan research organization dedicated to providing a greater understanding of how the economy works.
