Web service at risk Thursday 18th September

In order to improve the resilience of the University web service, it is necessary to upgrade various parts of the hardware upon which the service is based.

The upgrades are scheduled to take place in several phases and during each of these phases some, or all, of the University Web Service will be unavailable.

The second phase of this is scheduled to take place between 08:30 and 09:30 (UK time) on Thursday 18th September during which time the whole University Web Service must be considered to be at risk, although it is hoped to be able to keep the majority of the service available throughout this period.
